POLICY NAME: Matterport Technician
Purpose: Provide a job description for the Matterport Technician
Reports To: Dirctor of Training & Safety
SUPERVISES: Works directly with Emergency Restoration Technicians and Reconstruction Squad
Evaluated By: Director of Training & Safety, Talent Acquisition & Squad Support Specialist and peers
Basic Functions:
- Capture 3D scans of homes and commercials properties using Matterport Pro2 camera and platform
- Perform as an Emergency Restoration Technician as work flow dictates.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work semi-autonomously and remain accountable
- Competent communication skills (in-person and over-the-phone)
- Competent with fundamental usage of smartphone and tablets (iOS and Android)
- Valid driver’s license
- Dependable transportation
- Cell phone
- Able to climb a ladder.
- Able to lift at least 75 pounds.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Able to work around a variety of chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity.
- Follows established safety practices including the proper use of PPE when required.

Overall Duties Include:
- Integral to our company’s ability to thoroughly document conditions, materials and measurements of the properties we are providing service for
- Capture 3D imaging data of residential and commercial properties
- Uploads new scans daily
- Performs any and all directives from the Director of Training and Safety, Talent Acquisition & Squad Support Specialist, ERT Project Managers, Reconstruction Project Managers and Estimators.
- Responds to emergency losses
- Performs Emergency Water Extraction and Drying Service, when needed
- Assists in Emergency Fire/Smoke Services (including deodorization, pack-outs, board- ups and securing structure), when needed.
- Performs basic vehicle and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to follow direction
- Communication with property managers/owners
- Maintain company equipment to ensure longevity
High Detail Job Accountabilities:
- With an eye for detail, capture 3D scanning imagery of all relevant spaces in residential and commercial properties, using Matterport Pro2 Camera and iPad.
- Daily upload of 3D scans to Matterport Spaces web-based platform.
- Read and comprehend all relevant job notes prior to arriving on site to scan a property.
- Must have constant, mobile access to smartphone and Google Calendar.
- Punctual to all appointments and able to contact the customer to reset expectations when scheduling prevents on-time arrival.
- Documents customer questions and issues as they arise, using RMS notes and email/text communication to relevant parties.
- Drive company vehicle in safest and most respectful manner possible
- Maintain cleanliness of each vehicle used that day be the standards set by Paul Davis
- Alert supervisor of any vehicle disturbances (Oil changes, check engine light, etc.)
- Participates in marketing and business development as the need arises.
- Complete special assignments as requested by Supervisor
- Participates in emergency services when an “All hands on deck” scenario arises.
- Participate in on-going problem solving and practicing continuous improvement of the department and company as a whole.
- Participate in Paul Davis social events, Goal Setting and Review, All Team Meetings and as many other opportunities as possible to engage with the rest of the team.
Hours:
- A typical shift for this position is 7:30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
- This schedule can vary, depending on the flow of projects requiring 3D scans on a given day.
- 3D scanning responsibilities may be supplemented with Emergency Restoration Technician related work, as needed
